The fourth stage of the virtual Giro d'Italia will be held on the 28th of April and Astana and Trek-Segafredo will be defending the leads of the men's and women's races.

The ascent to Madonna di Campiglio will be the first mountain stage for the virtual Italian race. The stage will be 25.9 kilometres long and will go through part of the course that was set for the 17th stage of the 2020 edition of the Italian grand tour, from Bassano del Grappa and Madonna di Campiglio.

Astana will try to defend its 14'30'' lead over Androni Giocattoli-Sidermen and 16'08'' on the Italian national team.

Participating teams in the 4th stage of the virtual Giro d'Italia:

Astana Pro Team: Alexander Aranburu and Gorka Izagirre.
Bahrain-McLaren: Fred Wright and Rafael Valls.
Jumbo-Visma: George Bennett and Jonas Vingegaard.
Androni Giocattoli-Sidermec: Alessandro Bisolti and Matteo Spreafico.
Bardiani CSF Faizane: Giovanni Carboni and Luca Covili.
Vini Zabu KTM: Etienne Van Empel and Manuel Bongiorno.
Italian National Team: Alberto Bettiol and Alessandro Fancellu.

In the Pink Race, Trek-Segafredo will defend its 34'43'' lead over the Italian National team.
