Caja Rural-Seguros RGA has received one of the wildcards for the 75th edition of the Vuelta a España.

The Spanish grand tour will start on October 20 in Irun and finish on November 8 in Madrid and formation will be at its start point. This will be the ninth time in a row that Caja Rural-Seguros RGA will be at the Vuelta a España.

"It is the most unusual La Vuelta in many years, in which we will all have to adjust and take priority for health, so we will support the organization in whatever it takes to prevent Covid-19," said team manager Juan Manuel Hernandez. "Last year we were very close to a stage victory with three second places. This 2020 we had started the season in good shape, with a great win for Gonzalo Serrano in Vuelta a Andalucía, but we all had to adjust to this new situation. Our cyclists continue working with the focus on the return to the competition, and especially on October 20th in Irún.

"The objective is clear: to achieve a stage victory. The level will undoubtedly be very high, we will work hard and I know we have the level to get it. Of course, one more year we will give new opportunities to our young riders so that they can measure up to the best in the world. Being in La Vuelta 2020 is the best news we could receive, it will be synonymous with the fact that we will all be better and face the future with maximum enthusiasm."
