The winner of the 2019 Vuelta a España Primoz Roglic (Jumbo-Visma) has already outlined the remainder of his season.

The Slovenian rider and his team will continue with the original plan of targetting the Tour de France, where he will share the captaincy with Tom Dumoulin and Steven Kruijswijk. Roglic plans to restart his season in August and to have two altitude training camps before heading to the French grand tour.

"I will do altitude training in July, and then in August I will participate in the Tour de l'Ain (August 7-9) and the Criterium du Dauphine (August 12-16)," said the winner of the 2019 Spanish grand tour to the Slovenian broadcaster RTV Slovenija.

"Then I want to finish a second altitude training before starting in the Tour de France."

Recently, Jumbo-Visma's sports director Marijn Zeeman stated that the team is considering changing the location for the team's altitude training because the usual places in Spain like Sierra Nevada and Tenerife can be difficult to access in the current Covid-19 pandemic. For this reason, the Dutch team is exploring the possibility to instead go to other places like Austria, France and Switzerland.
