Lotto Soudal has been the first WorldTour team to announce its complete roster for the 2020 Tour de France.

The Belgian team has become the first formation of the WorldTour level to confirm the eight riders that will tackle the French grand tour in its new dates -from the 29th of August to the 20th of September. Lotto Soudal will fight for stage victories in the competition with a versatile formation.

The team will be at the start line of the race with three men specialized in the fast stages: Caleb Ewan, John Degenkolb and Roger Kluge; four riders that are meant for the classic profiles: Philippe Gilbert, Thomas De Gendt, Tim Wellens and Jasper De Buyst and Steff Crass as the GC card.

Lotto Soudal is already doing preparations in separate groups for the restart of the season. The roster selected for the Tour de France will start at the Tour de Pologne (August 5-9) and the Tour de Wallonie (August 16-19) as preparation for la Grande Boucle.

The Belgian team has also confirmed that Caleb Ewan and Philippe Gilbert will start in some of the Italian one-day races in August, particularly Milano-Sanremo -the only monument that the Belgian rider is missing in his palmares. The 2020 Tour de France will be the 10th edition for Gilbert, who will turn 38 on the fifth of July.
