Ale BTC Ljubljana's Urska Zigart has taken the win at the time trial of the Slovenian National Championships.

The 23-year-old -who is in her sixth year in the team- is a specialist in climbing and took advantage of this to beat the competition at the rolling route of the fight against the clock. Zigart has shown a constant progression in the time trial competition of the country as she finished in the fourth position in 2018, in the third in 2019 and this year she could step on the highest place of the podium.

The Slovenian time trial took place over the same 15.7-kilometre route that the men also tackled -a competition that was won by Zigart's boyfriend Tadej Pogacar. The rider of Ale BTC Ljubljana completed the course in 40 minutes and 44 seconds, being three minutes and ten seconds faster than Blaza Pintaric, who finished in the second position.

Zigart's teammate Urska Bravec completed the podium of the competition. This victory came for the rider one week after she finished in the third position of the road race of the National championships -a competition that was won by her teammate Ursa Pintar.
