Lauren Stephens (Tibco-Silicon Valley Bank) and Will Clarke (Trek-Segafredo) have taken the respective wins at the last stage of the virtual Tour de France.

Just like in the real world version of the race, the virtual French grand tour finished in the iconic Champs-Elysees of Paris. The sixth stage of the competition -that took place in the platform Zwift- took the riders six times through a 6.6-kilometre circuit familiar for the fans of cycling.

The women's peloton was the first one to face the course and the competition started with intensity thanks to the intermediate sprints that were disputed on each lap. A group of 23 riders arrived together to the last kilometre of the stage and Stephens showed once again her power in the race and took the victory, which also confirmed the win of the Yellow Jersey for her team.

In the men's race, CCC Team's Gijs Van Hoecke was one of the stars of the sprints and this intensity managed to break the pack until only 34 riders remained. Bruno Armirail and Benjamin Thomas (Groupama-FDJ) tried to surprise the rest with an attack in the last kilometre but the speed set by NTT Pro Cycling's Edvald Boasson Hagen managed to reeled them back in, although it was not enough for him to take the day's glory.

But the efforts of the Norwegian managed to secure the Yellow Jersey for the South African formation, while Clarke could take the day's win.
