Bahrain McLaren has announced a two-year contract extension for Belgian rider Dylan Teuns.

The rider arrived to the formation in 2019 and there he has shown his talent and versatility. In 2019, Teuns managed to take stage victories at the Tour de France and the Criterium du Dauphine, and in 2020 he won the individual time trial at the Vuelta a Andalucia/Ruta del Sol, just before the suspension of the season due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

"Since starting with Team Bahrain McLaren, I have been very impressed by Dylan’s attitude towards racing and training," said Rod Ellingworth, Team Principal of Bahrain McLaren. "His versatility makes him a valuable member of our team, and I look forward to helping him achieve his dreams."

"I feel great here, the team’s ambition and spirit make it the best choice for me to continue improving my results," Teuns added. "Last year I achieved two big victories, with the Tour victory being one of my career highlights. I am thankful for the chances that I get here, and I am sure that together we will achieve many more of such victories in the future."

Teuns restarted his season at Strade Bianche and he will continue it at Milano-Sanremo, the Criterium du Dauphine, the Tour de France, la Fleche Wallonne and Liege-Bastogne-Liege.
