Total Direct Energie has announced the signing of French rider Pierre Latour for the next two seasons.

The rider -who won the Young rider classification of the Tour de France in 2018- became a professional in AG2R La Mondiale in 2015 and has a palmares that includes stage victories in the Vuelta a España and the Tour de l'Ain, as well as top three position in the overall classifications of races like the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya and the Criterium International.

Latour had a contract with AG2R La Mondiale until the end of 2020 and has decided to join the ranks of another French team since January first of 2021 and for two seasons. "I can't wait to be there," said the rider. "I think it will be good for me to see something else and to discover another way of working.

"The objective by signing with Total Direct Energie is to continue to progress. I like the bike that the team rides. Attacking and taking risks, that's what motivates me. I sign here to win races. Being a leader will give me more opportunities. So it's a chance for me."
