Deceuninck-Quick-Step's Sam Bennett has taken the victory of the last stage of the Tour de France while Tadej Pogacar confirmed the overall victory of the race.

The last stage of the 107th edition of the French grand tour was 122 kilometres long over a route that featured the iconic finish on the Champs-Élysées of Paris. The race started with the usual celebrations of the winner Tadej Pogacar and his team UAE Team Emirates and the relaxed atmosphere that prevails on the moments before the arrival in the French capital.

There were attacks by riders like Michael Schär (CCC Team), Michal Kwiatkowski and Andrey Amador (Ineos), but they were all repelled by the peloton. With 30 kilometres to go, Ben Swift, Max Schachmann, Greg Van Avermaet and Pierre-Luc Perichon escaped, but they were caught within the last lap.

In the last two kilometres, Deceninck-Quick-Step took the lead of the pack to prepare the sprint for Sam Bennett. Although Mads Pedersen was the first rider to start the sprint, soon was caught by the Irish national champion, who took the victory on the green jersey of the points classification by crossing the finish line ahead the World Champion and Peter Sagan.

Pogacar crossed the finish line with the pack and confirmed his overall victory of the French grand tour. Primoz Roglic (Jumbo-Visma) stepped on the second spot of the final podium and Richie Porte (Trek-Segafredo) completed the top-three of the race.
