French newspaper Le Parisien has confirmed that two people are under custody in France following the investigation that is being made on Nairo Quintana's entourage due to doping suspicions.
Earlier on the day after the finish of the Tour de France, the Agence Press France (AFP) reported that the hotel of the French team Arkea Samsic in Meribel was searched during the race and this led "the discovery of numerous products including medicines and a method that can be qualified as doping," said prosecutor Domininque Laurens.
Later on the day, French newspaper Le Parisien confirmed that two doctors of Quintana and his physiotherapist of the team have been taking into custody from the morning and the rider and his brother Dayer were interviewed in the morning. "According to our information, nearly 100 millilitres of physiological serum and injection equipment were found in some personal belongings," indicated the newspaper. "In several recent doping cases, infusions of physiological saline have been used to decrease the level of haematocrit in the blood."
