Arkea-Samsic: The investigation is not targetting directly the team or its staff

Arkea-Samsic's General Manager has reacted to the information that points out to an investigation for doping suspicions, distancing the formation from the people that are involved in it.
Emmanuel Hubert, General Manager of the French team, has distanced himself and the squad from the investigations that are being done on Nairo Quintana's entourage for doping suspicions, confirming the earlier information delivered by French media. "A search did take place last week in our hotel, as I have already confirmed to various media," he mentioned. "It concerned only a very limited number of riders, as well as their close entourage, not employed by the team.
"The team, its General Manager and the staff, currently quoted in the media are absolutely not being questioned and consequently are not kept informed of any elements relating to the progress of the investigation, which I remind you, it is not targetting directly either the team or its staff."
"We obviously support our riders, but if it turns out that at the end of the current investigation, elements confirm the veracity of doping practices, the team will immediately dissociate itself from such acts and will take the necessary measures to put an end to the links that could unite them with unacceptable methods."
Earlier information by French media pointed out that the search was linked directly with Nairo and Dayer Quintana, as well as Winner Anacona. Two members of the Colombian entourage have been put in custody earlier on the day.
