La Fleche Wallonne announced some riders that will take part on its 84th edition, which include big names like Tadej Pogacar, Primoz Roglic and Julian Alaphilippe.

The unusual edition of the race - which will happen just after the Tour de France and the world championships- will be held on the 30th of September on the roads from Herve to Huy. The Muur de Huy will once again be crucial in the development of the race and it is set to be very aggressive from the start given the strength of the participants.

One of them is Alaphilippe (Deceuninck-Quick-Step), who has finished twice in the second position of the race and comes with the extra motivation of perform after a Tour de France that wasn't as successful as the previous year. Roglic (Jumbo-Visma) and Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates) will also be at the start line of the race after showing a great battle in the Tour de France that was won by the 21-year-old Slovenian.

Other strong riders that could move the race include Miguel Angel Lopez (Astana), Egan Bernal (Ineos) -who will want to test his shape after withdrawing from the French grand tour, Tim Wellens, Thomas De Gendt (Lotto Soudal), Diego Ulissi (UAE Team Emirates), Adam Yates (Mitchelton-Scott), Dylan Teuns (Bahrain McLaren), Lennard Kämna (Bora-hansgrohe), Marc Hirschi (Sunweb), Richie Porte and Bauke Mollema (Trek-Segafredo).
