Total Direct Energie has announced the signing of Norwegian experienced rider Edvald Boasson Hagen for 2021.
The French team closes the transfer window for the upcoming season with the arrival of the former Norwegian national champion Boasson Hagen. The 33-year-old has been part of high level teams like Sky and NTT Pro Cycling and has a palmares that includes three stage wins in the Tour de France, five in the Criterium du Dauphine and three overall wins at the Tour of Norway.
"My goal is to win as much as possible, to race and to get the best results," said the Norwegian. "I am a versatile rider! So I hope to ride the Spring Classics and have the chance of winning stages at the Tour de France. I also want to help my teammates of Total Direct Energie to achieve good results.
"I can't wait to join the team and meet them at the training camps. I hope we will have a normal season next year!"
This announcement came after the confirmation of the signing of British rider Chris Lawless, who makes the move from Ineos Grenadiers for 2021.
