Vuelta a San Juan
The organisation of the Vuelta a San Juan has announced the suspension of the 2021 edition of the race.
The Argentinian race, which is part of the UCI Pro Series calendar, will not take place as expected in 2021 due to the Covid-19 situation in the country and the world. "This decision was taken based in the facts of public knowledge and the recommendations of national and international organisations related to the Coronavirus (Covid-19).
"San Juan will continue working with the same passion and spirit for the growth of the sport and this Argentinian classic race will look to keep its international character in the years to come, so cyclists from all around the world can continue shining on our country, when this sanitary situation has been resolved."
The 2021 edition of the Vuelta a San Juan was set to host the return of the four-time winner of the Tour de France Chris Froome, and his debut with his new team Israel Start-Up Nation.
