Several riders of Bora-hansgrohe have been involved in a traffic accident during the training camp the team is undergoing in Italy.

Early rumours pointed out at a crash that involved several riders and later on the German team confirmed it via Twitter. Newcomer Wilco Kelderman, Rüdiger Selig and Andreas Schillinger are the most affected by the crash.

"Today during training, some our riders were involved in an accident with a car. Wilco Kelderman, Rüdiger Selig and Andreas Schillinger were taken to hospital, all conscious," stated Bora-hansgrohe through a Tweet.

"Wilco and Rudi have sustained concussion, while Andreas is awaiting final examinations."

The German team is doing its training camp around Lake Garda in the north of Italy.
