RCS Sport has announced the invited teams for the 104th edition of thr Giro d'Italia and the spring WorldTour races.

The organisation of the Italian race has announced the list of teams that will compete in the Giro d'Italia, Strade Bianche, Tirreno-Adriatico, and Milano-Sanremo. All 19 WorldTour teams will take part in all of the races and Alpecin-Fenix -the first team in the 2020 UCI ProTeam classification- has been invited to all the races and has accepted the invitation.

For the Italian grand tour, three teams were invited following the ruling of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) of increasing the maximum number of riders from 176 to 184 for the big races in 2021. Bardiani CSF Faizane, Eolo-Kometa Cycling Team and Vini Zabu, received the Wildcards.

For Strade Bianche -which will take place on the sixth of March- Alpecin-Fenix will be joined by Team Arkea Samsic as the two formations qualified by ranking. Androni Giocattoli-Sidermec, Bardiani CSF Faizane, Eolo-Kometa Cycling team and Vini Zabu have been invited to take part in the race of the white roads.

Tirreno-Adriatico will take place from the 10th to the 16th of March and five teams have received wildcards for it: Androni Giocattoli-Sidermec, Eolo-Kometa Cycling Team, Gazprom-Rusvelo, Arkea Samsic and Total Direct Energie.

And lastly, for Milano Sanremo (March 20), Arkea Samsic has also been automatically invited as the second ranked in the UCI ProTeam classification, and Androni Giocattoli-Sidermec, Bardiani CSF Faizane, Novo Nordisk and Total Direct Energie, have also been invited.
