Dylan Groenewegen (Jumbo-Visma) has taken the victory of the fourth stage in the Tour de Wallonie, Quinn Simmons has remained on top of the General Classification.

On another hilly and difficult route in the Belgian race, there was a difficult climb at ten kilometres from the finish. Although many riders and teams, tried to make a difference on that ascent, the peloton got back together on the last kilometres, sentencing the stage to a fast finish.

Dutch national champion Timo Roosen positioned Groenewegen perfectly on the last stretch and the rider proved to be too strong for the competition, crossing the finish line ahead of Giacomo Nizzolo and Fernando Gaviria. The rider will start in the final stage of the race, wearing the jersey of the points classification.

"This is a victory that belongs to the whole team", said Groenewegen. "It was a tough day. There was a lot of racing. I wouldn't have thought that I could fight at the front here. My teammates encouraged me. They showed that they were one hundred percent convinced that I could win here.

"I survived the last climb, also because of the strong work of the team. Just like in the first stage, my teammates did a great job. I am very grateful for that. The more I race, the stronger the good feeling gets. I am not yet at the top of my game, but I am close to my top shape."
