Julian Alaphilippe is set to lead Deceuninck-Quick-Step in the next edition of the Clasica San Sebastian.
It is time for the World Champion to show his rainbow colours in the roads of the north of Spain. This will be his first race after the Tour de France -where he won one stage and got to wear Yellow- and there he will try to get his second victory in the competition and the fourth one of his season.
"San Sebastian is always a hard race, everybody knows that," said Deceuninck-Quick-Step sports director Wilfried Peeters. "You've got a lot of climbing and an extremely tough ascent inside the last ten kilometres, which since it has been added to the course, it's been decisive almost every single time.
"But we have a solid team, built around a former winner of the race, and we go there with the confidence that we can get a good result at the end of the day."
