Alpecin-Fenix has announced the signing of Austrian rider Michael Gogl for the next two seasons.

The Belgian team has confirmed the deal for the 27-year-old- who has started already in all Grand Tours and can add his experience to the road roaster of the team. Gogl has been part of teams like Tinkoff, Trek-Segafredo and currently is in Qhubeka NextHash, and has finished in the top-10 of one-day races like Strade Bianche and the Amstel Gold Race.

"As you can imagine, I am really happy to join Alpecin-Fenix," the Austrian rider said. "The team is performing great. I like aggressive racing and the philosophy of the team suits me well.

"So, I am looking forward to this exciting step in my career where I want to bolster the super strong classics team, especially in the hard one-day races."
