Oliver Naesen and Greg Van Avermaet are set to lead AG2R La Mondiale in Dwars door Vlaanderen.

The Belgian duo finished in the top ten of Gent-Wevelgem last weekend after following the key moves of the day and finished one minute and 25 seconds behind the day's winner Wout van Aert. Now both will face the next Belgian race with a strong roster to try to improve from that result.

"I was able to race the Belgian events for the first time last year as a stagiaire and I'm happy to be back on the cobbles," said Julien Duval, who will make his debut in the race 13 years after Van Avermaet and Michael Schär did it. "They are exactly how I imagined they would be: they are very nervous and there is a lot of bumping shoulders, but I enjoy it.

"Since the beginning of the season, I have already raced four events here and they have matched my qualities quite well. I feel good here and, in the future, I would definitely like to come back to the Flandriennes races. When you start a race with leaders like Oliver Naesen and Greg Van Avermaet, the ambitions are big and that's very motivating."
